LCE Awarded $5.5 Million to Support U.S. Navy Fleet Logistics

CHARLESTON, SC - October 22, 2013 - Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) today announced it has been awarded a $5.5 million contract by the Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Puget Sound, Washington. LCE will provide process support to the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC). LCE will work with the planning and engineering departments to develop and issue job summaries and task-group instructions in the Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) system for carriers and surface ships ported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Life Cycle Engineering has provided planning and estimating services to support U.S. Naval Shipyards for over 10 years. The U.S. Navy continues to experience a loss of civilian employees due to retirement, budgetary constraints or hiring freezes. Responding to this need, LCE employs experienced, highly-qualified subject matter experts to help offset high turnover and to meet unique surge requirements of Navy Shipyards. Many of the LCE employees are experienced shipyard professionals that have a thorough understanding of shipyard policies, procedures and the AIM system.

“The award of this contract is essential to SRF-JRMC’s ability to execute maintenance and repairs on carriers and surface ships based in Yokosuka, Japan. LCE is proud to partner with the Navy to provide qualified and capable personnel and services to support mission-readiness of these ships,” said Manny Lovgren, senior vice president of LCE’s Engineering Services Group.
