Troy Schwartz to Present on Critical Asset Performance Standards (CAPS) at RAMS 2014
CHARLESTON, SC - January 16, 2014 - Troy Schwartz, PE, CQE, CRE, CSP, CSSBB, Principal Reliability Engineer for Life Cycle Engineering, will present a session entitled, “Critical Asset Performance Standards (CAPS) for Offshore Reliability” at the upcoming RAMS (Reliability and Maintainability Symposium) 2014 conference.
Critical Asset Performance Standards (CAPS) are designed to meet operational safety and environmental protection requirements. CAPS define the key aspects of safety-critical elements (SCEs), including equipment, procedures, personnel, inspections and verifications necessary to preserve the integrity of the control measures that reduce the risk of a catastrophic Major Accident Event (MAE). This session will offer an overview of the process involved in developing CAPS for integration into a Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) as part of an overall risk-based asset management strategy that provides regulatory compliance and system reliability.
The annual RAMS conference is the premier event in the reliability, availability, and maintainability engineering disciplines. Combining tutorials, presentations, CEUs, certifications, and networking into one week-long program, RAMS delivers cutting edge information to all technical industries.
The 2014 symposium will take place January 27th-30th in Colorado Springs, CO. Schwartz will present in the Topics on R&M Management and Risk Analysis track on Tuesday, January 28th at 8:00am.
