About Us

What does success mean to you?

Outcomes, end games, big wins and finish lines? Life Cycle Engineering agrees! No one likes to score a big win more than us.

But what if success were more than that? What if success was a feeling?

The feeling you get when you answer the call for help.
When you turn the things you know into actions that make others do better.

When those actions add up to make operations run better.
When those operations improve their impact on people, communities, the environment and – the world.

Success is that feeling.

Knowing you made the world better in some way, by helping others succeed.

This feeling is the heartbeat of LCE. It started in 1976 when George Thornley and Jim Fei started Life Cycle Engineering with a dream to create a company and culture that put people first and people helping people, their mission.

Their first project, extending the asset life cycle of the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet, kicked off their expansion into engineering and reliability services for the U.S. military and commercial businesses around the world.Today, LCE brings together the best and the brightest from the military, civil service, industry and academia to leverage the science of asset management and reliability.

What makes LCE different?
