A leading carbon negative materials company needed to develop a sustainable chemical plant within a tight timeframe. Our team addressed this challenge by identifying critical assets and spare parts, conducting detailed FMEAs for multiple systems, and offering expertise in CMMS selection. Through the implementation of efficient maintenance processes, we ensured the successful operation of the plant while advancing sustainability in materials production. Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is tasked by NSWC Code 425 with providing On-Site Representation (OSR) to ACU-4. An Automotive Company Invests in Education and CMRP Certification To Drive a Culture of Reliability
The many benefits of increased reliability are widely understood – improved safety, less downtime, extended asset life. But how does one actually create a culture that values and creates reliability? An automotive manufacturer had an opportunity to test drive an intentional strategy when they opened a new facility at a greenfield site. Like plenty of other manufacturing organizations, the 2008 recession had put some real stresses on a nearby existing plant, pushing it to become reactive in how it operated. When the new plant opened up, the management team and engineers that migrated to the new operation knew that in order for it to flourish they needed to implement reliability best practices and create a culture that was proactive instead of reactive. They expected a shared commitment to reliability would result in improved performance and a better place to work. They were right!

Facing maintenance challenges stemming from budget constraints and limited resources, Life Cycle Engineering’s Sea Coaches efficiently maintain ACU-4's LCAC fleet, ensuring mission readiness. Thanks to the expertise of the SEA Coaches, ACU-4 was able to use a Ready for Issue nozzle and complete the repair for a fraction of the price. In addition to completing the immediate repairs, LCE’s SEA Coaches also developed and documented classroom training on the proper procedures for removing and installing main engines onboard LCACs.
